RULA

is founded Ruby Law, a London-based set designer, production designer, spatial designer, and artist. She is celebrated for her enthralling work in live performances.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Ruby was trained as an architect at HKU, MIT, and Bartlett UCL. She has worked with acclaimed designers, including Zaha Hadid, Thomas Heatherwick, and Es Devlin.

Ruby's artistic creations blend narrative exploration, geometric forms, light, materiality, and digital films, resulting in captivating and multi-dimensional experiences. She has crafted theatre sets at the Royal Albert Hall, Sadler's Wells Theatre, Walt Disney Concert Hall, O2 Arena, King’s Head Theatre, and the National Museum of Qatar. Her expertise extends to concert stage designs, working with esteemed musicians like Jorja Smith, Billie Eilish, Haim, Joey Yung, and Terence Lam. Notable collaborations with iconic brands like Prada, Gucci, and Disney highlight her versatility. Her art installation has been showcased at the Venice Biennale and the Somerset House. Additionally, since 2015, she has been a lecturer at the Bartlett School of Architecture.

 

In 2020, Ruby founded RULA, where her visionary perspective encompasses Theatre, Live Music, Fashion, and Art. RULA collaborates with innovative thinkers, institutions, and brands, approaching design briefs with fresh perspectives and pushing the boundaries of physical and digital spaces.
