AZIRA

The Immersive Experience by LOST [2024]

Set Design by Ruby Law

AZIRA is a 90-minute immersive theatre experience set in the breathtaking desert landscape of AlUla, Saudi Arabia. Blending original storytelling, a cinematic soundtrack, and a cast of modern dancers and actors, the show invites audiences on a transformative journey through time and myth.

The narrative follows a female action hero, the daughter of an archaeologist, as she searches for the lost secrets of an ancient subterranean city buried beneath the sands of AlUla. The experience begins as guests pass through a security checkpoint and board a high-speed train, transporting them to a hidden lower city carved into the desert. Here, the audience moves freely through a series of circular performance spaces, each evoking the symbolic essence of the forgotten civilization. Immersive interaction, spatial storytelling, and dynamic live performance dissolve the boundaries between viewer and performer.

In the climactic final act, the audience enters a monumental outdoor amphitheatre, gated by six towering black monoliths. Against the backdrop of AlUla’s iconic rock formations, audience shadows are cast onto the mountains, transforming the landscape into both stage and character.
